    • Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon 64bit (Ubuntu based 14.04).
Using the pre-compiled 64-bit binaries from Qt 5.5.1 and 5.7.0 open source/community edition.

When using Qt 5.7.0 on Linux Mint 17.3 (Ubuntu based 14.04) the native desktop style is completely disregarded. As a fallback it uses Windows 95 style (when setting QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE to gtk or gtk2 or even gtk3). When the QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE is unset to nothing it will use fushion as a fallback. This style difference is not only seen on self made apps but on QtCreator, QtDesigner and QtAssistant as well.

This style (bug) behavior is NOT experienced with Qt 5.5.1 (see attached .png screenshots of QtAssistant)
