TextEdit does not handle highlighting of QSyntaxHighlighter correctly

    Description

      In the Qt QWidgets Syntax Highlighting example the highlighting works as expected when removing the comment symbol for a multi-line comment.
      With the Qt Quick TextEdit, the highlighting is not updated correctly. After a "select all text" (CTRL-A), the highlighting is updated as expected.

      The attached example shows the problem.
