QLabel cursor not cleared with Qt::TextSelectableByMouse

With Qt::TextSelectableByMouse set as textInteractionFlags of a QLabel, the cursor is not properly cleared when there is no full selection (no selection of one or more characters), but only the cursor itself is set by clicking in between the characters (see attached image for how it looks when only clicking after the last character and then focusing another widget).
