The normal blinking cursor for LineEdit disappears when the Completer displays the menu of completions. TextEdit doesn't have this problem so presumably it is possible to lose focus to the menu and still have the cursor in the text field. The arrow keys work as expected to move cursor position but without the cursor visible you don't know where you are.
