QProcess::startElevated and QProcess::startDetachedElevated for starting a subprocess with root/administrator privileges

Currently there is no cross-platform way in Qt to launch a process with admin/root privileges. I've spent a whole day trying to launch an elevated supbrocess through QProcess on Windows and I still haven't figured it out. A dedicated method like QProcess::startElevated (and accompanying static method QProcess::startDetachedElevated) would be a huge help.
