Using visualItemRect to get rectangle of item

When I using visualItemRect to get rectangle of the current item. Whether the header is visible or not, the function return the same result。But when I using programs to move mouse to center of the rectangle I found the mouse do not move to the same rectangle and I found the actual location of the two rectangles are not the same.
So does this function not take into account this problem?
