    Description

Since Apple released AUv3 (Audio Unit V3), it gave developers the ability to create audio units for iOS DAW (Digital Audio Workstations). For instance, this allows a synth app to be instantiated more than one time in the same. Until then, music apps were limited to single running instance, sharing the audio between them through inter app audio. This opens a whole new level for the audio thing on iOS. To implement this in a easy way, audio developers that rely on Qt needs a quick way of adding this target to the Xcode project. App Extensions are bundled as a plugin inside the app bundle and they follow the App Extension guide lines. Without this official support is basically a madness to put that out. I would like you to evaluate this need that will make a lot of difference to all the potential audio developers using Qt.
