    Description

It is related to caret, so in the example I'm referring to its position through "|" symbol. Steps to reproduce:

      1. Open Kate, and type "|Hello world" (where | not a symbol but the caret)
      2. Press Ctrl+right

      Expected: "Hello| world"

      Actual result: "Hello |world"

      Additional information:

In general usage, the bug is inconsistent. E.g. of Qt apps I'm using specifically for text editing, I can only mention Konsole, and there it works as expected. I've also recently I migrated from Firefox to Qutebrowser, in which I'm currently typing this text; and in text-widgets of web-sites it works as expected too. But if I try to edit the url, the bug appears.

It is, however, consistently reproducible in Kate and KMail. I can't say when this bug appeared, because I prefer Emacs, and I can't use KMail for other irrelevant (reported) bugs.
