Priority: P1: Critical
Affects Version/s: 5.9.2, 5.10.0 Beta 4
Component/s: Connectivity: Bluetooth
Environment:Bluetooth Low Energy Example, compiling for Windows Desktop, or compiling as UWP-App
Qt 5.10 Beta4 / Qt 5.9.2
Win 10 Version 1709 (Build 16299.19)
Visual Studio 2017, Version 15.4.3
.NET Framework 4.7.02556
I'm currently testing the new Bluetooth implemention for Windows 10 desktop applications by using your Bluetooth Low Energy Example.
Bluetooth device discovery on Windows doesn't really perform a device discovery, but lists all (manually) paired devices instead (see
QTBUG-58660). Now it can happen that some of the just "discovered" devices have been paired some time ago and are currently not available (device turned off, out of reach or something similiar). When trying to connect to such a device, the application crashes, see attached screenshot.
Edit: Happens also for UWP-Apps.
Edit: Happens also for Qt 5.9.2.
