Renderer asserts sometimes when running Audio example

When using this Voice-Changer [https://mdn.github.io/voice-change-o-matic/|example], the renderer process sometimes asserts because of a failed check. This happens mainly when changing the effect that is used on the data from the microphone. It does not happen always, though.
