Hi,

It seems that QTimer eats too much cpu resources on linux (tested on opensuse 11.2 64 bit).

Here are the numbers on my linux box (with empty timeout handler):
timeout millisec, cpu usage
1, 80-90%
2, 40%
3, 24%
4, 20%
5, 14%
10, 8%
20, 2%
40, ~0%

I run the same test under win32 on the very same hardware and all of the results was ok, about 0%.
