Check impact of using clang by default for Android builds

    Description

      Since gcc is deprecated in the Android NDK and it is not possible to use clang with our official gcc-based binaries we should switch to building with clang by default instead, and long term we could remove the gcc mkspecs.

      But before we do this we need to check the performance impact of using clang instead of gcc.
