The change fa2a653 (revealed by "git bisect"; code review https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/192566/) causes a startup hang on Android in my application whereby a call to QCoreApplication::postEvent, to post to the Qt thread, never succeeds. Reverting that commit fixes the problem.

I haven't managed to come up with a small reproduction, and I can't post application source code.
