When you resize the widget to the small size the children of the groupboxes doesn't respect minimum height they should have. Load the attached example ui form into designer and preview it, resize the form to the small size and look at the contents of the groupboxes. When you reset the minimumSize property of the scrollAreaWidgetContents then it doesn't happen anymore.
