Description
qmake CLI build outputs are very difficult to read. I think the reason is, at least partially, that we are supposed to build our projects from inside Qt Creator, and the beautifying task is its job. Still I believe there are many use cases for CLI builds, such as native builds on embedded devices, backend plugin builds, scripted builds that conflict with the use of Qt Creator, or the build of Qt itself. I think even the ease of use compared to clicking around in Qt Creator is a valid reason to configure and build in CLI.
I think at this point qmake deserves a much more modern CLI display; off the top of my head, some features that will make this happen are color and completion percentage. Others might be possible. cmake output has a modern look, it would be a starting point for this task.
