    Description

      dead_caron in X11 doesn't seem to be working anymore with sk keyboard.

      I am not using any DE just plain X and WM.

      After discussion on irc #qt @ freenode.org here is all the information I could assemble:

      : file /usr/share/X11/locale/en_US.UTF-8/Compose
      /usr/share/X11/locale/en_US.UTF-8/Compose: UTF-8 Unicode text

      Locale output:

      : locale
      LANG=en_US.UTF-8
      LC_CTYPE="en_US.UTF-8"
      LC_NUMERIC="en_US.UTF-8"
      LC_TIME="en_US.UTF-8"
      LC_COLLATE=C
      LC_MONETARY="en_US.UTF-8"
      LC_MESSAGES="en_US.UTF-8"
      LC_PAPER="en_US.UTF-8"
      LC_NAME="en_US.UTF-8"
      LC_ADDRESS="en_US.UTF-8"
      LC_TELEPHONE="en_US.UTF-8"
      LC_MEASUREMENT="en_US.UTF-8"
      LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_US.UTF-8"
      LC_ALL=

      setxkbmap output:

      : setxkbmap -print
      xkb_keymap {
      	xkb_keycodes  { include "evdev+aliases(qwerty)"	};
      	xkb_types     { include "complete"	};
      	xkb_compat    { include "complete+ledscroll(group_lock)"	};
      	xkb_symbols   { include "pc+us+sk(qwerty):2+inet(evdev)+group(sclk_toggle)+capslock(hyper)+shift(both_capslock)"	};
      	xkb_geometry  { include "pc(pc105)"	};
      };

      Distribution is Void Linux:

      lsb_release -a
      @start:{tai64n:@400000005be47201127856c2}
      LSB Version:	1.0
      Distributor ID:	VoidLinux
      Description:	Void Linux
      Release:	rolling
      Codename:	void

      Qt5 package there is at:

      : xbps-query qt5
      architecture: x86_64
      automatic-install: yes
      ...
      pkgver: qt5-5.10.1_14
      ...
      source-revisions: qt5:95f32618e2
      ...

      Funny thing is dead_acute works. dead_caron is invoked by pressing shift + =.

      I am 100% confident it worked just fine, but as I don't type in native tongue that often i did not notice when it broke. There were some qt5 updates recently, I think.
