Business justification and overview

While Qt Lite in general allows to reduce library and memory footprint for applications, automation efforts can go a step further as in allowing to create Qt based application without any graphical user interface. In that case libraries like Qt Core can theoretically be stripped even more (itemmodels, animation classes, …).

Use cases for this are gateway implementations, for receiving, filtering and sending events by sensors. In addition, cloud appliances do not provide a user interface and rather process input, as in scalable message receivers.
