QtQuickControls 1.4 ComboBox does not work on 5.12

      I have projects that import QtQuick.Controls 1.4 and I notice that my dropdowns do not work very well.  Here's a simple QtQuick project and when you run it, the dropdown does not work.

      Attached is a main.qml which reproduces the problem.
