updating from 4.7 to 4.8 on Ubuntu 14.04 systems (or the like) leads to "death trap"

    Description

When updating Qt Creator from version 4.7 (4.7.2) to version 4.8 on Ubuntu Linux 14.04 64-bit (or the like), MaintenanceTool will do the update without complaining (installed Qt version: 5.11). Afterwards, Qt Creator can't start anymore:

.../Qt/Tools/QtCreator/bin/qtcreator: relocation error: .../Qt/Tools/QtCreator/lib/Qt/lib/libQt5DBus.so.5: symbol dbus_message_get_allow_interactive_authorization, version LIBDBUS_1_3 not defined in file libdbus-1.so.3 with link time reference ...

A downgrade via MaintenanceTool is not possible. Removing 4.8 and reinstalling 4.7.2 by hand (as I did) leads to MaintenanceTool thinking that 4.8 is installed.

Hopefully there will be a version for 14.04 (LTS) as a lot of such Linux boxes (Mint, etc.) are still around and this is not a major version update (neither from 4.7 to 4.8, nor from 5.11 to 5.12).

      Expected behavior:
Either a working Qt Creator 4.8 or MaintenanceTool warning on/refusing to install.

Also see the posts here (not from me):
cant use it on Ubuntu 14.04
