Thai characters are not rendered on Windows 7

      Thai characters are not rendered on Windows 7. This can be reproduced by using the dirview example. Directories with Thai names are correctly displayed on Windows XP when running the dirview example, while on Windows 7 only empty boxes are shown. The attached screenshots show the problem.
