Qt does not have a ribbon UI component, which would be beneficial for both Widgets and Qt Quick.

It should be noted that Microsoft has patented certain items related to ribbon component and in the past pursued their rights in court as well. Before proceeding to implementation it should be clarified if Qt could offer a ribbon -like component without infringing existing patents.
