      Using signal-slot connections via function pointers does not always work with MSVC 2015. The old style connecting works but when specifying using MSVC 2015, it will fail.

      In the attached example, the DerivedMasterWrapper.cpp has the failing lines, the commented out ones work fine which are setting up the same connections. This also works fine on MSVC 2017 and macOS.
