Arch Linux Qt packages, Samsung C1860FW printer connected via AppSocket/JetDirect with CUPS 2.2.11 and a PPD from Foomatic.
Description
From the KDE Bugzilla, https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408270
The KDE bug report will give the full story, but essentially Qt always submits jobs to CUPS in A4 size, even when Letter is selected in the printer properties. As a result, when printing a Letter-size PDF file, white bars are added at the top and bottom and the document appears smaller on the page, sine the printer resizes the A4 PostScript document it gets to fit on Letter-size paper.
I don't think this is a problem with my CUPS configuration since Chromium's "Print using system dialog" option (GTK+ 3) and LibreOffice's print dialog both work as expected. Also, this problem appears on two different Arch systems I set up a few months apart. However, it could be something strange with the packaging, since neither of the participants on the KDE bug report were able to reproduce the problem.
