Description
More of a brainstorming. Think about serializing the VkPipelineCache to disk with Vulkan. No equivalent with D3D11 and Metal, however. (but the concept exist in D3D12, no backend for that yet though)
Not relevant for OpenGL. Something that is somewhat similar (though not equivalent) in OpenGL space is the program binary disk cache, see QTBUG-78584
