Processing qm file name error when using config embed_translations

    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    • Bug
    • Resolution: Done
    • P2: Important
    • 5.15.7, 6.2.1
    • 5.13.1
    • Build tools: qmake
    • None
    • macOS 10.15 and Qt 5.13.1
    • All

    Description

When using config lrelease embed_translations, and split .ts file name with dot(.), qmake will only recognize the first part of the file name. For example, here is my project file:

      CONFIG += lrelease embed_translations
      TRANSLATIONS += example.en_US.ts example.zh_CN.ts

When build the project, I've got error:

error: No rule to make target `.qm/example.qm', needed by `qrc_qmake_qmake_qm_files.cpp'. Stop.

Because the ts filename is actually

      example.xxxxx

      not

      example
