QDeclarativeGeoMap with custom QQuickGeoMapGestureArea possible?

    Description

      I have written my own QQuickGeoMapGestureArea derived map gesture area due to the problems with the existing implementation. This can only be used with a custom Qml component which is basically a copy&paste of the QDeclarativeGeoMap code. The only difference is that it is using the custom gesture area.

      Is it somehow feasible to change the official QDeclarativeGeoMap class so that custom gesture areas can be assigned to it?
