Window does not close when menu is open

When a menu is open in native Windows applications like Word and Notepad, then hitting the close button will close the application. When opening a menu in a Qt application like e.g Assistant using Alt+F, then clicking the close button will only close the menu and it is necessary to click the close button again to close the application.
