[macOS] Animations don't work when using events to drive updates

attached is a small sample where I use a Worker class which needs to do some processing. When it's done, it posts an event to itself to repeat the process.

While this works well, it also stop the QtQuick animations from playing, seems like the QBasicTimer never fires.

This is broken on macOS but appears to work on Windows
