Build the "WebEngine Widgets Simple Browser Example" on Windows-10. Start NVDA screen reader.
Load https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Accessibility/ARIA/ARIA_Live_Regions#Simple_live_regions and scroll down past the code examples to the Planet Information dropdown. Select a planet and press Go button.
It should read the details of that planet, as seen below the dropdown. On Chrome or FireFox, it does. On Simple Browser, it does not.
Tried on Qt 5.12.6 and 5.14, both on Windows. Did not try on macOS due to https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-78284
