Qt Creator Android plugin received an update that allows it to detect a suitable NDK version for each Qt version for Android via a config file (see QTCREATORBUG-23285). Currently, the config file is in the qt-creator repo (link), this is not ideal because Google could release an update to NDK that is not compatible with some of the latest Qt versions which could break the project's build for Android.

It would be ideal to have Qt Creator automatically download any new version of this config file whenever available without waiting for the Creator's release. Thus, it could be such that this config file would have its own repo which Creator would get notifications to update. Also, it should be hidden by default to avoid any unwanted confusion by users.
