Suggestion to add QLineEdit set prefered size in number of characters it can hold

It could be very interesting to have a property to set the maximum
numbers of characters of the QLineEdit and that the preferred size
corresponds to this number.

(In Motif this properties exists for the XmTextFiled widget: it is the XmNcolumn resource)
