    Description

Watching the install detail, I see a lot of files being install which I will
      never use.

Why are you installing documentation (at all) as part of the tool
I will seldom look at it. If I want documentation I will go to
the internet and your web site.

Installing all of that documentation in each instance of the IDE
only makes it more difficult to maintain.

Why do you install all of the different possible examples.
The examples are associated with the types of tools that
are required. Why not create a simple set of tools and
      only install the appropriate examples.

The Kits should be customized for installation option.
And they can be added to the tool as necessary.

9G is a large amount of space. I wonder about the
80/20 rule. What do I normally use? 1 or 2 Gig?
