When there is a network connection within the LAN but no Internet connection then it is possible that Qt Network will think that there is no network. Non Qt applications (such as curl etc) will manage fine and still download as there is a connection to the LAN. Just not to the Internet.

This can be reproduced with the downloadmanager example downloading from an address within the LAN that has a web server running.
