Description
1) "Upgrade" to Qt 5.15.1 to avoid silly Qt bugs like QTBUG-86067
2) Open any Qt or KDE program and get a tiny microscopic mouse cursor
3) Set mouse cursor size in systemsettings5, see big mouse cursor.
4) close systemsettings5, it's small again. Open any Qt or KDE program and it's tiny
A workaround for this new Qt bug in Qt 5.15.1 is to set XCURSOR_SIZE= before launching any Qt programs. Not using any software written using Qt is of course another worth considering with the new bugs introduced in every Qt release.
