qml application not fullscreen after (re)loading qml file

When starting the qml app in fullscreen mode the application reverts to normal size without window decorations after (re)loading a file. e.g.:

qml -fullscreen %QTDIR%\demos\declarative\samegame\samegame.qml -> hit Ctrl+R to reload -> behaviour occurs.

OR

qml -fullscreen -> select a qml file to open -> behaviour occurs.
