after reinstall; new project; no Kit found

Sorry I jumped to the keyboard. I did not wait until I had a good install.
Things have changed. I need to learn the new changes. Please close

Just reinstalled and tried to create an empty Qt Quick project.
When I reached the point of specifying the "Kit" value,
The "Desktop" kit was listed but greyed out. I could not select
it. I tried to go into kit properties but no luck in making a change.
Desktop was listed as the default.
