Description
WSL file systems are available in path \\wsl$\<wsl-distro-name>\..., eg. \\wsl$\Ubuntu-20.04\home\username\projects
QtCreator can succesfully open and edit files and projects in WSL file systems but File System view cannot show these paths. Selecting project name in the dropdown menu does not show the directory in the filesystem.
QtCreator seems to correctly handle network shares that aren't bound to any drive letter and WSL file systems shouldn't differ significantly from those. Maybe some check doesn't like $ in the path?
Reproduction:
- Enable Windows Subsystem for Linux and install a distro.
- Create or copy any project to WSL Linux file system.
- Open the project from the WSL file system, \\wsl$\<distro-name>\... path
- Switch side bar to show File System view and select the project name from the dropdown
