Snapdragon 820A development board running Linux and Wayland
Description
The patch Qt provided us (https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtwayland/+/311730) did not work as expected.
I created a new ticket since the original tickets became private at some point and we cannot access them anymore.
Original tickets:
- [INC-1429305] / [QTBUG-85134]
- [INC-1429306] / [QTBUG-85135]
First, I would like to mention that the patch seems to work fine on x86 and everything is working as expected. However, when we apply the patch on our device and make the necessary changes to the compositor and run our Wayland Client application it crashes every time you click the text in the input field.
To make sure the issue was not due to our applications. I added the changes also to a QtExample ivi-compositor and used a small QtExampleText App. Also in this case the moment when we click the inputfield we immediately receive:
Dec 10 10:17:33 8x96autogvmga QtExampleTextEditor[19416]: wl_display@1: error 0: invalid object 786435 Dec 10 10:17:33 8x96autogvmga QtExampleTextEditor[19416]: The Wayland connection experienced a fatal error: Invalid argument
And the WaylandClients stops.
I added both a file containing both applications: QtExampleApplications.zip
Device: Snapdragon 820A
