Error message for wrong filename as value of \quotefromfile is cryptic

If I enter a nonexistent filename as the value of the \quotefromfile command I get the following error message:

(qdoc) warning: Unable to parse QML snippet: "Expected token `numeric literal'" at line 1, column 1

If possible, something like "The quoted file cannot be found." would be more useful.
