Without any interaction, an application can suddendly stop recieving updates because it believes that it is no longer visible on screen, despite being visible. In this case, when update() is called on a QQuickWindow it effectively does nothing. This happens because the wayland surface is considered to be hidden. The wayland compositor is Weston in this case.
