Description
We are discussing a partnership with NXP where they would provide us with new HW boards and support for them while we would produce QBSPs and endorse these boards as reference boards used in our CI and RTA.
NXP is requesting us to support all of the iMX8 variants as they become available.
Currently NXP is supporting Qt 5.15 and moving to Qt 6.2 next year, they will only focus on Qt LTS releases.
Supporting NXP boards directly in CI and RTA should help with supporting NXP satellites also, as we could then refer to the NXP platform as a benchmark.
NXP recommended using LPDDR4 memory since that is what they are using internally, this would make sure the HW configurations are identical for potential joint debugging.
