QFileDialog does not automatically change to double extensions

When using a QFileDialog for saving files, one can set a number of file-extensions to be selection (.pdf). When selected the filename's extension is automatically changed to this extension. However, this does not work for double extensions (.tar.gz). In this case the field for the filename is just erased.
