Android: Swiftkey stops working

    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    • Android

    Description

Swiftkey' Keyboard is not reappearing after minimising and then changing focus to a different text control

      To reproduce,

      • Install Microsoft SwiftKey keyboard from play store on Android deviceĀ
      • Make the Microsoft SwiftKey keyboard as your default keyboard
      • Launch the QtKeyboardTestApp (attached)
      • Tap to focus on TextInput1
      • Note the SwiftKey keyboard is automatically shown
      • Start typing
      • Conclude typing by using the Enter/Return key on the SwiftKey keyboard
      • Note the SwiftKey keyboard is now hidden
      • Changing focus to TextInput2 and back to TextInput1 does not restore the SwiftKey keyboard hence the bug
      • Additional observation: Changing focus to read-only TextEdit and back to TextInput1 restores the SwiftKey keyboard
