Description
Previously MinGW 8.1 got the 8.1 from the GCC version 8.1.0. If we go and say MinGW 9.0.0 people would start thinking it's GCC 9.0.0.
MinGW 8.1 package had:
GCC 8.1.0
- x86_64-mingw-w64-headers-v6-nomulti
- x86_64-mingw-w64-crt-v6-nomulti
- x86_64-winpthreads-v6
The new MinGW package has:
GCC 11.2.0
- x86_64-mingw-w64-headers-v9-nomulti
- x86_64-mingw-w64-crt-v9-nomulti
- x86_64-winpthreads-v9
Since the old package was not MinGW 6, the new package should not be MinGW 9.
The Qt Blog entry for Qt 6.2.2 correctly refers to MinGW 11.2.0, while the Qt SDK installer still uses 9.0.0
