When creating a new project using Qt Quick Application which states 'Creates a Qt Quick application project that can contain both QML and C++ code.' and then choosing Qt quick Controls as component set, the created QtQuick2ControlsApplicationViewer has everything private and doesn't inherit QQuickView. As a result it is impossible to e.g. set root context properties or do OpenGL rendering (before/afterRendering signals) from C+. In reality this Wizard ONLY allows for QMl code not C+
