Closing last Project disables Projects mode icon, but doesn't switch to another mode if active

      How to reproduce

      Open any project and switch to Projects mode. Then close project. The Projects pane icon gets disabled, but it still remains selected: The build/run configuration of the unloaded project is shown. Making any changes (e.g. "Remove configuration") crashes Qt Creator.

      Can't we generically switch to a default mode when the active mode gets disabled?
