Remapped escape key is not honored

      I have swapped my escape and capslock keys using xmodmap.

      Qt Creator is somehow ignoring this mapping and I must use the physical escape key to press escape. The mapping works fine in all other programs on my computer.

      I did not have this problem in Qt Creator 2.8.

      My .Xmodmap configuration is attached.
