Projects mode should not have fixed width

      The various tabs of the Projects mode all have a fixed with. In many cases this wastes space and hides controls if the main window is small. I attached some screenshots to visualize the issue.

      Instead, the Projects mode's width should change with the main window. A reasonable maximum width might make sense.
