Description
The C++ coding style configuration is a great tool to set my ideal indentation policy. Here is my (short) configuration:
- Tab policy: Tabs Only
- Tabs size & Indent size: 4
- Align continuation lines: with Spaces
For the tests, the editor configuration is set with the same parameters, and "Clean whitespace" is disabled.
When I edit my code, all is what I expect. And if I try to auto-indent (Ctrl+I), nothing is broken. (see attachment 1)
And when I save my code, spaces are replaced by tabs! The alignment is kept (according to my indent size). Wait what? I disabled the clean whitespace configuration... (see attachment 2)
I removed and recreated my C++ coding style, but nothing change.
Yes I know, there are lot of issues related to this. But I have tested and retested, and this is really a bug.
