Picking a color in Qml Designer does not work if mouse is moved outside of color chooser

in Qml Designer:

• Click and hold on color chooser
• Move mouse out of color chooser area
• Release mouse button

I'd expect that I get a color value from the "edge" of the chooser but the color is not updated at all.
